Diogenes walked through the city with a lamp,
Weary of wickedness, on a quest for the Human stamp.
'Cannot be found,' they said, 'far and wide we sought,'
'Precious and elusive,' responded he full of thought.

'Hidden from view, is he yet in every sight,
All around us, in the day and the night.'
'I seek only the precious, scarce and profound,
Hidden in the confound, forever to be found.'
Rumi (Ghazal 441)
