Beyond the Horizon

I remember a waiting hall to new beginnings,

The vertigo I felt, the solitude, the helplessness.

I remember the bridge between two worlds,

And the jump into the void.

I remember the door to new horizons,

The one-way flight, the pain of departure.

I remember the anticipation of seeing beyond the horizon,

And the wilderness I landed in.

I remember being dismembered, torn,

In my new beginnings, the invisible self I became.

Now, beyond the horizon of pain I stand

At the frontier to new worlds.
